Walker, Shirley M., (Livingston), 78, Windber went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2015 at home. Born Apr. 30, 1937 in Johnstown daughter of the late Herman and Ida Mae (Wherry) Livingston. Also preceded in death by husband Kenneth, son Mark step-father Russell Allison, half-sister Lillian Arbaugh, nephew Jim and niece Ethelyn Wherry.
Survived by sons David "Fuzzy", Windber, Terry “Wes”, Poconos, Mike and wife Bonnie, Moscow, ID, and Katrina, Windber. Loving grandmother to Jon (Jackie) Walker, Pittsburgh, and Shayla Walker. Loving great grandmother to Madison Walker.
Sister of Tom (Mary Lou) Livingston, Schellsburg, and Ella Ellis, Windber.
Shirley was a loving mother. A special person who always treated others as she wanted to be treated, with love. She made people smile and feel special. She sent out many greeting cards with well wishes. Known as the "Well Wisher".Shirley was a loving mother. A special person who always treated others as she wanted to be treated, with love. Family and friends that touched Shirley’s life in so many ways are Sis Yutzy, cousin Anna Lewis, Betty Rodgers, the entire Ober family, especially Barb Horne, and the late Barbara Horner, just to name a few. All have meant the world to Shirley, and her family. Thanks to all of you. Thank you for putting a smile on Mom’s, face, laughter in her heart, and for embracing her with your love. Shirley was a member of TOPS, Riverside Chapter.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber. Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Calvary UMC, Windber. Rev. John Snyder. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
