Ruth L. (Reed) Miller

Miller, Mrs. Ruth L., “Honey,” 78, Windber.   Passed away July 16, 2015 at the Church of the Brethren Home, Windber.   Born Apr. 2, 1937 in Windber.   Daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Spangler) Reed.   Preceded in death by parents, husband William, Sr., son Robert Paul Miller, brother Ed Reed and sisters Clara Damico, Joyce Swaynos, and Janet F. Reed, and many nieces and nephews.

Survived by son William Jr., married to the former Patricia Lensie, Alum Bank.  Grandchildren Amanda Miller, William Miller, III, Kandi, wife Cory Holland, and Bobbie Jo, wife of Steve Dawson. Also 9 great grandchildren.

siblings Raymond Reed and wife Carol, Windber,   Roger Reed, and wife Wendy, WVA,  and Robin, wife of Harvey Weyandt, of Windber, Elaine, wife of Lee Kearns, and  Denise, wife of the late Victor Berardi, both of Johnstown,  Janice, wife of John Maddy, Cairnbrook, and Elizabeth “Chub” Spinelli, Berlin.   Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.   Member Scalp Level Church of the Brethren, ladies of the Moose and Windber VFW Ladies Aux.  She enjoyed Berkey’s camp in Bedford.  Avid Steeler and Pirate fan. 

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.  In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber PA 15963 in memory of Ruth.
