Ruby A. Statler

Ruby Arlene Statler, 98, of Winchester, Virginia, died, Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Lynn Care of Front Royal.
    Ms. Statler was born in 1918, in Windber, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of the late Harold and Hannah Statler.  Ruby was a butcher for A & P Groceries, retiring in the 1970’s.  She was a member of Rummel Church of the Brethren in Windber, Pennsylvania.  Ruby loved to travel, especially to see the ocean and beaches.  She had a passion for quilt making and painting.  Ruby was a strong, independent woman who was always proper and exemplified being a lady.
    Surviving Ruby are four grandchildren, Tracey Wagner of Winchester, Virginia, Scott Wagner (Jennetta) of Winchester, Virginia, Cory Wagner of Colorado and Casey Wagner of Three Rivers, Texas.
Her beloved daughter, Donna Lee Wagner and her brother, Pete Statler, preceded her in death.
A funeral service for Ruby will be held at Rummel Church of the Brethren, Windber, Pennsylvania on Monday at 1:00 PM.  Interment will follow in Berkey Cemetery in Windber, Pennsylvania.  Arrangements by Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, Pennsylvania.
