Phyllis Arlene (Knavel) Berkey

BERKEY – Phyllis A., 88, Windber, died Jan. 4, 2016, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 14, 1927, in Paint Township, daughter of the late Edgar and Velma (Berkey) Knavel. Also preceded in death by husband, Emory; and siblings, Myra Geiser, Mildred Miller, Elsie Dull, Myrna Kohler, Erma Stewart, Rev. Berkey Knavel and Dean Knavel; and infant sister, Nellie. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Berkey Church of the Brethren. Private graveside service will be held at the discretion of her family. The family would like to thank the staff at Conemaugh Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their wonderful treatment and comforting care of Phyllis.
