Jonathan Dean Crist

Jonathan “Jonny” Dean Crist, 31, of Johnstown, PA, died on May 18th 2017. He was born November 20th 1985 in Johnstown, the son of Calvin Dean and Kathleen (Barron) Crist. He graduated from Windber Area High School in 2004 and attended college at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. During his time in Philadelphia, Jonny became acquainted with ethnic cuisine and culture. He enjoyed going out to dinner and trying new restaurants. Jonny embraced his musical talents through his boisterous vocals and playing guitar. He had a keen eye for interior design, where he enjoyed sourcing vintage art deco furnishings. He loved spending time with his mother, especially planting and tending to the hydrangeas in her back yard. 
Jonny is preceded in death by his father, Calvin Dean Crist and survived by his wife, Trang Nguyen; mother, Kathleen Crist; his sisters Lauren Crist, Caitlin Skula and Erin Shulman. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. 

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Windber, PA on July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Rod Soha, TOR, presiding.  Jonny will be laid to rest alongside his father, Calvin Dean Crist, at St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery, Windber.
