Janice L. Corl

Janice L. Corl, 53, Windber, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2017. Born Aug. 15, 1963 in Windber to Ronald P. and Norma (Wiesheier) Corl. She is preceded in death by her father. Survived by her mother, brother Ronald P. Corl, sister Susan Corl, aunt Gail (Corl) Roth, uncle Robert Roth and numerous cousins and close friends. Janice was a 1981 graduate of Windber Area High School and a 1985 magna cum laude graduate of the Univ. of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She also studied for 1 year at the London School of Economics. Janice was a 30 year resident of Manhattan Beach, Calif., where she worked as an advertising account executive. She had a lifelong love of travel and visited over 70 countries and was always planning the next adventure. She had an insatiable curiosity about everything and was a voracious reader. She also contributed to a political blog where her tremendous intelligence and wit served her well. Janice was taken from us too soon and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. The family will receive friends from 10 am until time of service at 12 noon Saturday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Rev. David McGee officiating. Interment Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wendy Hollern Spencer Memorial Fund in memory of Janice.
