Jack G. Spangler

Spangler, Jack Gerald, 87, Windber, died November 22, 2016 at home. Born Dec. 12, 1928 in Johnstown son of the late Edgar and Catherine (Forney) Spangler.  Also preceded in death by wife former Mary (Mishler), son Jon, and sister Delila.

Survived by sons Barry, Johnstown, Mark (Kim), Summerville, SC, Tim (Lynn), Carrolltown, Ron (Pam), & Ed (Pam) Vyhonsky,  both of Johnstown, step- children; Doris (Fred) Fisher, Windber,  and John Edwards, Mineral Point. Also survived by grandchildren Trish, Baltimore, Jen (Hunter) Houston, Zephyrhills Hills, FL, Matthew, Jessica (Matthew) Varga, & Jordan, all of Johnstown, and great grandchildren Aden, Kevrie, Jackson, & Carter. Uncle to Donald Fisher, Johnstown, Debbie (Dan) Church, and Deanna Fisher, Windber. 

Jack was a WWII Navy veteran that enjoyed Pittsburgh sports teams especially the times he attended Pirates games at PNC Park. Member of Church of the Nazarene, Windber.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber where service will be held at 11:00 a.m Tuesday.  The Rev. Arlene Morris, officiating.  Entombment Richland Cemetery Mausoleum.
