David, Helena (Fraikor)

David,  Helena, 92 1/2, formerly of Wantagh, NY, passed away peacefully with family members present on 1/14/16 at Richland Woods Assisted Living. Born July 2, 1923 in Windber, daughter of the late George Sr. and Anna (Gera) Fraikor.  Preceded in death by husband, Carmello “Buzzy” David; sisters Margaret Fraikor, Steve Fraikor, infant Mary and Anna Orlovsky, wife of the late Andy Orlovsky; also brother George Jr.; and sister-in-law Mary Dilorenzo, East Meadow, NY.

Survived by loving sisters Mary (Fraikor) Buckshaw, wife of the late Joseph Buckshaw, Wantagh, NY; Agnes (Fraikor) Mihalko of Windber, wife of late Louis (Amos) Mihalko, Jr.; nephews Louis Mihalko III, married to Wendy (Konitsky) of Richland; Marlene (Mihalko) Satkovich, married to Joseph Satkovich, Jr., of Windber; Cindy (Mihalko) Berkebile, married to Robert Berkebile of Windber; Daniel Mihalko, married to Coleen (Haggerty) of Oak Hill, VA; George Fraikor III of Windber; Christine (Fraikor) Fatich of Sidman; Raymond Orlovsky of Windber; Helen (Orlovsky) Polasko of Windber; Joseph, Raymond, Dennis and Ricky Buckshaw of New York and New Jersey and Christine (Buckshaw) Monahan of New York.

And to all the care givers at Richland Woods Assisted Living who took such extra- special care of her during her four-year stay. Also a special thanks to Interim Hospice.

Helena left the Windber area in the 1940s, moving to New York. She worked in various jobs in the defense industry, finishing her career as a buyer for Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation at Bethpage, NY.

Viewing will be held from 8:30 am to 10:00 am Saturday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home in Windber, where panachida will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by funeral service at SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Windber, PA. Burial to follow at SS. Peter and Paul Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to SS Peter and Paul Orthodox Church Project Hope.
