Helen B. (Starvish) Stewart

Stewart, Mrs. Helen B., 89, Windber, passed away peacefully at home. Born in Hollsopple, PA. Daughter of Frank and Catherine Starvish. Preceded in death by parents, husband Robert, son Thomas, and numerous brothers and sisters. Survived by these children Robert, married to Christine (Wise), Palmyra, PA, Patty Stewart, and Daniel Stewart, both of Windber. Grandchildren Leah, Danelle, Stephen, Meghan, Robert, and Jonathan. Also sister Vicky Dodson, Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Helen was a very devout catholic, who attended daily mass. She was a loving mother to her son Tom, who she took care of for 50 years. She also made thousands of handmade rosaries that were donated to missions, prisons, military, etc. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Thursday at MEEK AND DALLA VALLE FUNERAL HOME INC., WINDBER, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 pm Friday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Fr. Rod Soha, TOR, pastor.
