Grace Mae (Foust) Mash

Mash, Grace Mae, 90, Windber died Apr. 4, 2015 at Church of the Brethren Home.  Born July 20, 1924 in Somerset daughter of the late Herbert and Grace (Shaffer) Foust.  Also preceded in death by husband John “Squeeky” Mash, son John Mash, Jr., brother Charles Foust; sisters Mary Benson and Dorothy Lambert.

Survived by sons: Thomas (Linda), Altoona, Ronald (Cynthia), David (Diana), and Dennis (Kathleen), all of Windber.  Mother-in-law to Patricia Mash, McHenry, MD, and Agnes Mash, Flintstone, MD.  Sister of Jean Reckner, Isabelle Shumaker, Shirley Ackerman, Barbara Joyce, and Linda Johnson.  Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  She loved to play bingo, bowl, garden, and make Sunday dinners.  Retired from Bestform Foundations.

Member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.  Fr. Wesley Mash, nephew of the deceased, celebrant.  Committal St. Anthony’s Mausoleum, Windber. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber where vigil for the deceased will be held. The family would like to thank the Windber Hospice; her caregivers, Joann, Mary, Shirley, and Nancy and the Mulcahy family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windber Hospice in Grace’s memory.
