Frank G. Maffeo

Maffeo, Francis G., “Frank” 93, Windber, passed away Mar. 20, 2017 at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born Sept. 18, 1923 in Windber. Son of Nick and Constance (Marino) Maffeo. Preceded in death by parents, wife Jane E. (Miller), siblings Maryann Maffeo, Amelia Novak, Angeline Studinary and Nick T. Survived by these children Holly Maffeo, Windber, Gregory Maffeo and wife Susan, Surprise, AZ, and Bobbi and spouse Cindy Maffeo, Windber. Grandchildren Kira and husband Drew Billow, Brianna and husband Ian Strawn, Vincente Quamere, and Jonaee Maffeo. Great-grandchildren Jackson, Ashlyn, and Iris Jane. Sisters Connie “Honey” Turcato and Jean Barta. Sister-in-law Karen Malnar and numerous nieces and nephews. Also poor little dogs Rosie and Rylee. Army Veteran WWII. Retired from US Steel. Member Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber. He enjoyed fixing things, wood working, watching the Steelers and Pirates. Frank also enjoyed spending time with his family and telling stories. He was the best dad ever. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday and from 10 until time of funeral service at 11:00 am Friday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.
