Buchkovich, Mrs. Emma Jean, 84, Windber, went home to be with her loving husband on Jan. 18, 2018. Born Oct. 4, 1933 in Ogletown. Daughter of Percy E., and Emma Catherine (Seese) Rogers. Preceded in death by parents, husband S. Lewis, 2 infant children David and Mary, great-grandson Cody, and siblings Nelson Helsel, Lorraine Diehl, Edna Harr, Virginia McClucas, Ralph Rogers, Noah Rogers, Beatrice Spahr, and Percy J. Rogers. Survived by these children Linda, wife of James Murphy, Pavia, PA, Samuel L. Buchkovich, Jr. and wife Donna (Kusinko), Windber, Judy, wife of Kenneth Konchan, Salix, Shari, wife of Kevin Allen, Butler, PA, Brian Buchkovich and wife Jennifer (Rickley), Summerhill, Timothy Buchkovich, and wife Patricia (Findish), Johnstown, and Jennifer, wife of David York, Windber. 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Emma Jean was judge of elections in Ogletown for many years. Her greatest pleasures in life were making music with her siblings, polka dancing with her husband, and being surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm, Sunday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where funeral service will be held at 11 am, Monday. Rev. Betsy Statler, officiating. Interment St. Mary Byzantine Cemetery, Windber. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Windber Hospice or Sitting Bulls Sled Hockey, 126 Western Ave., Johnstown, PA 15904 in memory of Emma Jean.
