Horner, Elizabeth A (Jezeskie), “Betty”, 64, Windber, died unexpectedly July 1, 2015 at home.
She was born Nov. 9, 1950, in Windber, daughter of the late Walter and Bethea (Snyder) Jezeskie of Alum Bank.
She is preceded in death by husband and best friend, Ernest "Pete" Horner; brothers Richard, Walter and Ronald; and sisters Joan Griffith and Kathy Stehley.
Surviving are daughters, Bethea A.,wife of Michael Novelli, Johnstown, and Heather M., wife of Ryan Cooper, Staunton, VA. Betty was the beloved grandmother of Christine, Stephen, Samantha and Katie. She will be sadly missed by her sisters, Dorothy Rice (RJ Podlucky), Windber and Diane (Steve) Feather, Queen, and her brother, Eddie (Darlene), Johnstown.
She will also be deeply missed by her constant companion and friend, Charlie the Cat.
Betty was a retired bakery manager from Bilo in Windber. She enjoyed hunting with Pete, any kind of puzzle and a cut-throat game of Scrabble. Her kind heart and generous spirit will live on in all of the lives she touched. She was a member of Rummel Church of the Brethren, where service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. Interment Horner Cemetery, Windber.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber.
