Eleanor T. (Gaio) DiGuilio

DiGuilio, Eleanor T., 95, Windber died Sept. 27, 2016 at the Church of the Brethren Home.  Born Aug. 2, 1921 in Windber daughter of the late John and Michelena (Sapiente) Gaio.  Also preceded in death by husband Anthony, and these siblings: Frederick, Edward, John, & Robert Gaio, Antoinette Costa & Mary Patriaca. Sister of Josephine Fanale, Pittsburgh and sister-in-law to Eva Dill, York. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Eleanor served her country as a Corp. in the US Army during WW II. She retired from former A & P Market, Windber as a cashier.  Member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Fr. Anthony Petracca, presider.  Private entombment at All Faiths Chapel and Mausoleum.  The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber where vigil for the deceased will be held. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Church of the Brethren Home for the loving care they gave to Eleanor while she was a  resident there.
