Edward F. Korhut

Korhut, Edward F., “Scratch” 68, Windber.  Passed away Apr. 24, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Oct. 3, 1947 in Paint Twp.  Son of John and Agnes (Stopko) Korhut.  Preceded in death by father and infant sister Delores.  Survived by mother, and daughters Regina, wife of Michael Barnhart, Harrisburg and Jessica, wife of Jason House, Lovell, WY.  Granddaughter Nakita Lee. Brother to John Sam Korhut, Windber.  Also friend Karen Steen.  Vietnam veteran, where he served as Corporal in the U.S. Army.  Member Windber VFW Post 4795.  Scratch was formerly employed as a truck driver for Bonitz trucking and waste management.  He loved his Harley and was an avid Steeler fan. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday.   Interment St. Mary Byzantine Cemetery, Windber.  Military graveside rites by Windber VFW Post 4795.
