Donald P. Hollern

Hollern, Donald P., 87, Windber, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2018. Born Feb. 24, 1931 in Homer City. Son of James and Alma (Dobbins) Hollern. Preceded in death by parents and brother James Michael. Survived by loving wife of 63 years Doris L. Schrock and these children Dawn, wife of Frederick Skerl, Boswell, Marcia, wife of Robert Goss, Lancaster, Lori, wife of Richard Schofield, Pittsburgh and Connie, wife of Nathan Sestrich, Johnstown. Grandchildren Lyndsey, Courtney, Bethany, Ashley, Robbie, Conner, Cameron, Casey, Sarah and Abigail. Great-grandsons Cooper, Grayson and Matthew. Brothers John “Ted” Hollern and wife Bea, Indian Lake and William “Butch”and wife Shirley, Indian Lake. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Don retired as a business manager from Walley Ford and Hollern and Sons Dodge, Windber. He enjoyed photography, building dollhouses, helping his son-in-law sell Christmas trees every year and spending time with his family. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber where funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday. Fr.
