Carol J. Aufman

AUFMAN- Carol J., 57, Windber, passed away March 22, 2018 at home, with her family, after a four year long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born January 23, 1961 in Windber, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Sobkowicz) Charnesky. Preceded in death by mother; and brother, Thomas J. Charnesky Jr.  Survived by father, Thomas J. Charnesky Sr., husband, Howard B. Lochrie, and children, Richard G. Aufman Jr., Rachael E. Aufman, and Rebcca S. Aufman. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and four cats. Carol enjoyed traveling, especially to Oregon to visit her extended family. She enjoyed attending craft shows, festivals, and spending time with friends and family. She was employed as a bank manager at First National Bank in Windber and also served on the Paint Borough Council. A special thanks would like to be given to all of her doctors and caregivers, especially to longtime family friend Kristine Farkas. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 pm, Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.
