Brenda L. (Hook) Hunter

Brenda L. Hunter,  age 55, of Windber died Feb. 14, 2015 at Memorial Medical Center as a result of injuries received in an auto accident. She was born on March 13, 1959 in Somerset daughter of Steve and Kay (Fry) Hook.  She was preceded in death by father-in-law Irvin Hunter, Sr.  Survived by parents, husband of 37 years Michael J., and sons Michael, married to the former Maggie Weyandt, and Brandon, all of  Windber.  Also survived by grandchildren Logan and Laiken Hunter.  Also survived by mother-in-law Esther Hunter, Windber. 

Sister of Rhonda Glatz, Glen Burnie, MD, and Paula, wife of Keith Keiper, Sidman.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a 29 year employee of First Commonwealth Bank.  She enjoyed boating with her family at Raystown Lake. Brenda was a loving daughter, wife, grandmother, and friend.  She will be sadly missed by her husband, and family, and all who knew her.  She also was a member of the Windber Church of the Brethren.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.  Pastor Joe Brown will officiate.  Private interment at a later date.
