Domineck, Alfred V., “Freddie,” 94, Richland Twp., passed away Jan. 27, 2018 at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Born Feb. 7, 1923 in Tire Hill. Son of Angelo and Philomena (DiSilvestro) Domineck. Preceded in death by parents, granddaughter Dennise Domineck, and siblings Joseph, Tony, Nellie Molnar, Rose Stevens and Helen Graziano. Survived by loving wife of 71 years Helen D. (Tokarsky) and sons Dennis, and wife Debbie (Moss), Windber and Michael, and wife Cathy (Cale), Richland. Grandchildren Lori Jo, wife of Dean West, Mindy, wife of Eddie Heming, and Tiffany, wife of Bryan Paczek. Great-grandchildren Devon, Dylan, Morgan, Cole, Nathan, Anthony, Dennilyn and Adalyn. Sister Josephine Ferline, Reno, NV and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber and Windber VFW Post 4795. Freddie was an Army Veteran, WWII, he made the invasion at Normandy, where he was wounded. Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of the Windber VFW Post 4795 Ritual Team. The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 pm Wednesday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber. Fr. Rod Soha, Pastor. Committal church cemetery. Military graveside rites by Windber VFW Post 4795 Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Windber VFW Ritual Team in memory of Freddie.
